Happy
Holidays. Tony just finished a new film called "Love
Blind", his own nightmare before Christmas. It's a little
tale of a very jealous ghost whose love never dies. The video stars
Ben Cubbedge, Maureen Davis, and Angela Eckert with
cinematography by Manash Das and Azad Jafarian.
December
16, 2006:
Tony's
slowly cutting his new film which has to be finished by Christmas.
Meanwhile, Azad Jafarian's been staying busy with the release of his
new short, Return to Sender, that has just
been uploaded to Cimafilms.com. Most of the film was shot in Chicago
with two actors (including Tony), a 45 scene outline (no script!), and
a small Panasonic Camcorder.
Azad
also shot an ad for a recent Quiznos/iFilm contest and took Second
Place with his video "Girl, Heartbroken". There's a quick clip of it
playing on VH1's "Best Week Ever" program this weekend. You
can catch Tony getting a face full of water on TV (it's in the last ten
minutes of the program) or watch the full video at iFilm.com.
Tony
and Greg's Holiday film from a couple years back has been uploaded to
YouTube. Feel free to spread the cheer by embedding HUMBUG
everywhere.
Of
course, don't forget to check out Missing Pieces on the
Independent Film Channel. The schedule is below.

It's
been a busy couple of months for Filmgeneration. Missing Pieces made
its world premiere in Honolulu at the Louis Vuitton Hawaii
International Film Festival. The short film screened in front of about
100 people and seemed to be pretty well received. Tony and Manash
had a fantastic time wandering around paradise and enjoying the spirit
of aloha.
Last
week the film also played at the Ohio Independent Film Festival
in Cleveland. Ashlie Clark, co-star of Missing
Pieces, attended the fest and reports "whoopin' and hollerin'" from the
crowd. We found some new fans of the film in Ohio.
In December,
the film will air on the Independent Film Channel as part of their
Media Lab programming. We will update the site with the schedule as
soon as it's made available. The film features an alternate song by Ingrid
Michaelson called "Starting Now" that has been cleared for
broadcast television.
Today,
Tony wrapped shooting on his latest short film, "Love Blind", a little
tale about a very jealous ghost. He's aiming to have the film done by
Christmas.
Filmgen
wishes you a wonderful holiday and we invite you to check out our Ninja Dinner video produced
last year. Send the Revver link to a loved one as a special Thanksgiving
Day greeting.

March
22, 2006:
The
other day, we discovered a film produced for Filmgeneration Remote back in 2004 by our
German friends, Sasan & Pejman. Watch what happens
when two men's paths cross in Delay
Effect.
Tony
is currently in pre-production on his 28th short video for
Filmgeneration. Please pardon our dry spell over the past few weeks.
We'll have some more work to show very soon.
March
3, 2006:
All
it takes is a little creative expression to get loud neighbors in the
same groove. The film that we promised to you by Christmas is finally
here. Greg Sweeney and Derek Syverud present a battle of drums and
turntablism called The Duel.
January
16, 2006:
Tony
spent New Year's hanging out in Germany. He shot some more random
vacation video on his Canon SD400 digital camera. After some very
haphazard editing of these clips, he created The
Winter.
Award
season is upon us. This is a great time to check out a couple of our
past films dealing with the Oscars. Best
Picture and Flix 2.
December
20, 2005:
In

Over
the weekend we laughed out loud while watching our friend, Scott
Gillies', video project. A parody of old school educational videos, "How to Impress Girls, Vol.
3: DANCING" will bring joy to your day. It features
the fresh moves of Andy Gouveia. The ladies will
drool and the fellas will pick up some excellent tips for their next
trip to the club.

the film
via Google's video sharing service.
September
18, 2005:
Kirk
Diaz is back from his five month trip to Mexico and he isn't wasting
any time. The idea popped up in Kirk's head the other evening so we
picked up the closest Canon XL-1 and just shot it. This week he
presents: Serenade for Julia.
August
11, 2005:
When
our buddy Azad flew out to New Mexico to make his short film, Lady
Liberty, which won Best Picture at the Duke
City Shootout, he asked Tony to make his own short film in
support.
Tony
started out with four random video clips shot with a Canon SD400
digital still camera while on a camping trip to Yosemite National Park.
His goal for the video exercise was to craft a short film based on the
brief clips. After coming up with an idea, additional scenes were shot
a week later. What resulted is a one minute film entitled, The Fall.
June
5, 2005:
It's
like we're starting all over from scratch. Get an idea one day, cast it
the next, shoot it the day after that, and post it the same night.
Watch
Unscripted
Afternoon, just another day in L.A. Special thanks to our

What
do you do when you find out your car needs $1,300 in repairs? Make a
short film about your frustrations of course!
After
lunch Azad
Jafarian and Tony picked up a camera and shot another
improvised short film called "Boy
N the Hood".
May
7, 2005:
This
week Filmgen Remote brings you a short film by Danny Lee
entitled, Where the Big Kids Play.
Secret portals, giant children... check it out.
Just
because we miss Kirk so much since he's run off to Mexico for
the summer, we're also posting his 5-second short entitled "Red Shirt".
We're sending him a MiniDV camera very soon and hopefully he'll be
sending us some great short films, hecho en México.
Greg
and Tony have been swamped with various shoots and editing projects.
They're dying to shoot a new short, perhaps within a month. Nine more
"shorts about nothing" to do.
March
1, 2005:
Sure,
